As we prepare to leave Spring and move into Summer, it’s time for us to discuss one of the byproducts of the changing of seasons: hail in Wyoming and paintless dent repair.

On average, Wyoming receives 29 severe hail storms each year. These storms qualify as severe by having hailstones sized 0.75 inch or larger, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that can cause significant damage to your vehicles.

Casper, Wyoming had 21 reports of hail on the ground in 2021, and though we are not as vulnerable as say Cheyenne… we should all still be very aware of the weather, and its implications.

Hail in Wyoming and paintless dent repair go hand in hand. When the sky opens up and drops rocks the size of ping pong balls, the wolves come out! You may see tents pop up on street corners and in parking lots. These tents often advertise fast paintless dent removal and some promise to even pay for your deductible. Buyer beware!

These tents almost always pop up to take advantage of the skyrocketing instances of hail in Wyoming and paintless dent repair needs. They are nomadic in nature, meaning that they simply chase the storms hoping to pick up as much business as possible, and as soon as another storm drops somewhere else, they disappear.

We strongly encourage our valued customers to avoid using such “here today – gone tomorrow” services. Your vehicle is likely the second most expensive asset that you own. And having it repaired by people you don’t know is a very risky thing. How qualified are the technicians that set up in a parking lot overnight? What kind of warranty will they offer – and even if there is one – will they be there to stand behind it? Make no mistake – these nomadic PDR stations don’t care about you or the quality of your repair. They are only in it for the quick buck!

When you face hail in Wyoming and paintless dent repair is necessary, we’ll be here for you. We’ve got skilled technicians who will do the job right the first time, and we’ll be here tomorrow to stand behind our work. And, as always, if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact us immediately. We are happy to help explain the process along every step of your vehicle repair.
